Fine-tune only if the SVG looks too noisy, too flat, or too large.

Why this tool

  • Tuned for hand drawings, outlines, line art and simple illustrations.
  • Creates SVG paths you can scale, recolor and edit after download.
  • No upload step: tracing happens locally in the browser.
  • Avoids photo-style promises; clean line art gives the best results.

Best inputs for sketch vectorization

Sketch tracing works best when the drawing has clear lines and strong contrast. A scanned ink drawing, a clean pencil sketch or a black-and-white icon usually converts better than a shaded photo.

If your image has paper texture, shadows or very thin marks, crop it tightly and increase contrast before converting. The SVG can then be cleaned further in Illustrator, Figma or Inkscape.

FAQ

Can I convert a hand drawing to SVG?
Yes. Hand drawings and line art are a strong fit when the lines are clear and the background is simple.
Will pencil shading become editable vector art?
Shading will be simplified into paths and may look noisy. This page is best for outlines, ink drawings and simple black-and-white sketches.
Can I recolor the SVG later?
Yes. Download the SVG and open it in a vector editor to recolor fills or simplify paths.
Does the tool support batch conversion?
No. The current version converts one image at a time and outputs SVG.
